What is Electromagnetic Induction?

Electromagnetic induction is a phenomenon whereby magnetic fields are being cut by a moving conductor to generate current. The current generated is driven be a small emf. This current is known as induced current and the emf, known as induced emf.

Factors affecting the size of induced emf (current)

The size of the induced emf can be increased by;
1. Increasing the length of the conductor or the number of turns of the coil.
2. Increasing the speed of the conductor (wire).
3. Using a stronger magnet.
